Asset Condition Assessment and Programming System (acap) has been developed in New Zealand for Australasian Local Authorities. Assets include sealed/unsealed pavements, sealed pavement surfaces, kerb & channel, urban sumps, rural culverts, footpaths, pram crossings, vehicle crossings, street furniture, bridges, water/wastewater/stormwater reticulation and community/pensioner/public housing.

The principal function of acap is condition assessment and can be utilised with other existing asset management systems where condition assessment modules are limited or lacking.

acap is a priority score based system utilising either the 1 – 5 (specific) or 0 – 10 (generic) rating criteria. The system generates automated maintenance and renewal work programmes, cost estimates, financial summary, condition performance reports, comparative asset condition reports, historical reporting and remaining life, valuation and depreciation schedules.

Once required work programmes are completed the asset is rescored and all reports and programmes are updated automatically.
