Jetty
A jetty is a structure extending into a body of water, which protects a harbor or coastline from the effects of currents and tides.
In Queensland the Asset Management Advancement Program identifies jetties as one of a number of "depreciating assets of significant value with long estimated useful lives" that need to be incorporated into Asset Management Plans.
